Mother's Day Weekend Special Event

David Campbell is a multi Helpmann and ARIA award-winning performer, who has achieved success in many areas of show business. As an Actor, he worked extensively across the globe, notably on Broadway and in musicals across Australia, such as Les Miserables and Shout! As an Artistic Director, he reinvented the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, breaking all previous attendance and box office records. 

As a Singer, he has had five Top Ten albums and four platinum records. His most recent release was a recording with long-time friend and collaborator, Broadway composer John Bucchino (David Campbell Sings John Bucchino). The album reached Number 1 on the ARIA Jazz Charts and the pair toured nationally and a film of their performance was released by Event Cinemas across the country.

Since becoming a father, David has turned his hand to television presenting. He is currently co-host of ‘Mornings’ with Sonia Kruger on the Nine Network (a role which has garnered him a Logie Nomination), and the host of Weekend Afternoons on Smooth FM.

Campbell sits on the board of the newly founded Hayes Theatre Co in Potts Point, a venue dedicated to musical theatre and cabaret. He also runs Luckiest Productions with his wife Lisa, which has produced a number of sell-out productions and tours across Australia.  Most recently, their production of ‘Sweet Charity’ opened at the Sydney Opera House in mid-January 2015.
