Lee Kernaghan
The Songs & the Stories in Concert - with special guests The Wolfe Brothers & Christie Lamb
Don’t miss Lee Kernaghan live in concert with a show that will feature music from his record-breaking #1 album ‘Spirit Of The Anzacs’, plus the big hits spanning his career!
‘The Spirit Of The Anzacs’ is a moving musical tribute to the men and women of our Defence Forces, inspired by a visit to the Australian War Memorial where Lee read letters written by men and women serving our country abroad. Lee and his writing partners Garth Porter and Colin Buchanan began the task of putting these letters and diary notes to music. The end result of more than a year of writing was an amazing collection of songs, all of which are true stories, being recorded for the album. Every war from World War 1 through to the war in Afghanistan is represented.
‘The Songs and the Stories in Concert’ will take the audience through Lee Kernaghan’s amazing musical career, with Lee performing many of his big hits and sharing for the very first time the stories behind the songs. Lee will be joined by special guests The Wolfe Brothers and Christie Lamb.
The Wolfe Brothers continue to grow from strength to strength with two albums and five #1 hit singles under their belt. The band has just returned from Nashville where they recorded their third album. Audiences will be among the first to hear some of the new material from the band’s new album.
Local girl Christie Lamb is one of the shining stars of country! Christie is a vibrant multi-instrumental singer-songwriter who will open the show with the songs that earned her the CMC 2015 Best New Talent Award and also won her the Gold Guitar for ‘Best New Talent’ at this year’s Australian Country Music Awards.PLEASE NOTE
