Karen Beckett charms her audience with humorous snippets from life as she weaves her cabaret show with some of the best songs of the twentieth century.

Her cabaret show consists of some great ballads, along with impressions of such people as Shirley Bassey, Barbra Streisand, Helen Reddy, Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland to name a few. Her versatility also landed her the role of 'Fantine' in an Australian Production of Les Miserables.

Karen grew up in Perth, where she performed regularly on children’s television. She moved to Sydney where she began to work continuously on the NSW Club, Convention and Television circuits, polishing her presentation without losing any of her very natural "girl next door" freshness - one of her most appealing qualities.

Her quest performance led Mr. Bill DeAngelis, Director of Entertainment at the MGM Grand to comment, "I have no doubts that the whole world will hear of you", - quite an accolade from a man used to booking the world's top talent.
Incidentally, during Karen's appearance in Las Vegas, she worked with some of the finest musicians around including several who work with Diana Ross.
